A Bullet Proof Story Line

Perhaps the most obviously  alluring thing about the show is it’s fresh and ridiculously relevant plot which revolves around  Luke Cage. At a point where too many black names are hashtags or  are images of the #BlackLivesMatter movement,  emerges a black man with bulletproof skin.  While Luke Cage’s story  isn’t necessarily new, this 2016 version is told in a different way; with a lens that rejects a lot of the story’s original blaxploitation roots.  At the beginning of the season Luke Cage is a mysterious hooded man who has an apparent desire to start a new in Harlem. As the season unravels it is made clear that this is impossible. His past, abilities, and affiliations play a significant role in his story.
